Privacy Policy

WordCounter is designed to be private by default. The text you type or paste is processed in your browser for counting and analysis.

Text Processing

Your text is not sent to a server by this application. Counts for words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, reading time, unique words, and common words are calculated locally in your browser.

Autosave

If autosave is enabled, your draft text is saved in your browser using localStorage. This helps restore your latest draft if you close and reopen the page. The saved text stays on your device and can be removed by turning autosave off, clearing the editor, or clearing browser site data.

Clipboard Access

The Paste and Copy buttons use browser clipboard APIs when available. Clipboard access is controlled by your browser and may require permission. Clipboard content is used only for the action you request.

Analytics and Tracking

This static page does not include analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies, or account systems.

Third-Party Services

WordCounter does not intentionally share your text with third-party services. If the site is hosted by a static hosting provider, that provider may receive standard web request information such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL.
